Corey Dalton HartCorey Dalton Hart, D.M.A., is a tenor and voice teacher in the Boston area and is known for his musical versatility, engaging presence, and expressive textual interpretations. Corey is an active performer of opera, oratorio, and song repertoire as well as an eager chamber musician. With a passion for American song, he is a regular recitalist along the east coast, having premiered new works in both New York City and Boston. Corey’s opera credits include works by Mozart, Bizet, Ravel, and Knussen. On the concert stage, he has been a featured soloist with the American Symphony Orchestra, the Albany Symphony, the Asheville Symphony, and The Orchestra Now. As a chamber artist, Corey performs regularly with groups in Boston and across the U.S. including Blue Heron, the Boston Camerata, Zenith Ensemble, the Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Baroque, Renaissance Men, the Ashmont Bach Project, and the renowned choir at the Church of the Advent.
In conjunction with his performance schedule, Corey maintains an active private voice studio in addition to being a member of the voice faculty of the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. As both a voice teacher and repertoire coach, Corey believes in fostering versatility in his students in order to give them optimal chance for success. He is a proud and active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, training students of all ages in classical, musical theater, and contemporary styles. Corey holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the New England Conservatory of Music, a MM from the Bard Conservatory Graduate Vocal Arts Program and a BM from Furman University. www.michaelhawesmusic.com |
