Agnes Coakley

British-American soprano Agnes Coakley is a singer, teacher and conductor specializing in early music. After earning a B.A. summa cum laude in Music at Yale, she spent several years in Europe, earning master's degrees in early music voice and vocal pedagogy at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland. Now based in Boston, she is an active church musician, singing regularly at the Church of the Redeemer, and with the Church of the Advent, Trinity Church, and Canto Armonico, and performing with many local early music specialists. Passionate about historically informed performance, she is a founding member of In Stile Moderno, an ensemble for seventeenth-century music, which has appeared in Boston, New York, and Vermont as well as Germany, Switzerland, and France. agnescoakley.com
