Michael Randall Hawes

Michael Hawes is a Bass-Baritone Singer and Trumpet Player living in Chicago. Recent performances have taken him to Seoul, South Korea, Israel and Palestine, Russia, and all across the United States. Michael loves to sing in vocal ensembles of all shapes and sizes, and has sung recently with the Clarion Choir, Crossing Choir, Seraphic Fire, Artefact Ensemble, the American Soloists Ensemble, St. Tikhon Choir, PaTram institute choir and more. A grammy nominated soloist, you can hear this recording of Benedict Sheehan’s Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom on all streaming platforms. As a trumpet player, Michael has performed with the Detroit Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony, Music of the Baroque Orchestra, National Symphony of Taiwan, and Axiom Brass. Also a pianist, organist and conductor, Michael has led music programs at multiple Catholic Churches in the Chicago area. In his spare time, Michael likes nothing more than to jump in Lake Michigan while catching frisbees thrown by his wife Nini, along with their 1 year old son, Felix.
