Nathan Halbur

Bass-baritone and composer Nathan Halbur's eclectic career has included performing semi-improvised opera with Esperanza Spalding in the world premiere of Wayne Shorter’s …(Iphigenia); giving voice to Dr. Seuss’s Grinch for the Boston Pops; pioneering improvised choral music with Nightingale Vocal Ensemble; and singing with Emmanuel Music, the Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Baroque, and Ensemble Altera. His band DREAMGLOW explores connections between pop, jazz, lo-fi, and classical music through original compositions and imaginative arrangements. Recent highlights with Skylark include appearing on the album Clear Voices in the Dark, and performing Path of Miracles at the Hispanic Society of America.
